TIFFANI’s JOURNEY OF SURVIVAL

Who this will help
My name is Lisa. I am the mother of Tiffani Cervantes Iorio. I will share her story so others can learn from it. Right now we need a little help with keeping the lights on and a roof over our heads.

Why I'm fundraising
I am Tiffani’s mother Lisa Brown. The end of 2020 began a scary journey for her, her husband, her son and I. We watched our beautiful, strong and loving wife, mom and daughter go through a nightmare. Death knocked on her door so many times and she’s still here. But she’s not the same Tiffani physically. She is bed ridden and on hospice living with her little family and they stay with me half the time to visit and let me share with taking care of her. She can’t walk, see or remember much. She knows Charles, Bubba and me, her “mamma”. She suffered brain damage during her year and a half hospital stay which no one has an answer for only speculation about lack of oxygen when she flat lined three or four times. Unfortunately alcohol really damaged her beyond repair and we are taking care of her at home. The reason I created this go fund me is to ask for a little help from whoever or whatever God blesses us with. This has been such a roller coaster of emotions and tears and panic attacks for me. But I have to say how proud I am of her husband Charles and teenage son Charles Jr. Their family is a dynamic trio. An awesome circle of love and loyalty. Charles takes care of Tiffani like a queen! Bubba loves his mom as they are “ride or die” mother and son. It breaks my heart to see them all go through this. I started helping take care of Tiffani the end of July 2023. She had been home a few months from long term care facility. Charles brings her over every weekend so I can be with her and it has really helped Tiffani laugh and smile more. On Thanksgiving night after our families went home, Tiffani had two very bad seizures and was hospitalized yet again. If it wasn’t for Charles, she might not have made it through. She always asks for him and he is always there. (Even though she doesn’t remember five minutes ago) She’s back home now and not quite the way she was prior to these seizures. Charles was fired from his job a while ago because he had to call out whenever Tiffani had to go to the ER. (Which was quite often due to high ammonia levels in her blood) I’ve missed several days too which put me behind the last two months. Our expenses have been for gas and food, transportation, rent and Tiffani’s home light bill. I’ve helped as much as I can but it hasn’t been enough. I recently started driving for ride share and deliveries after working 10 hour shift at my regular job. I plan on using whatever help we receive to pay our bills and keep a roof over our heads. Charles is waiting for home health services to approve his paperwork so he can get paid for taking care of her since he lost his job doing so. Anything left over is going to be saved for my grandson Charles to buy school clothes, shoes and money for events at school. I am a single mother of five adult children and Tiffani needs me to ask for her family. Thank you to all who help. I promise it won’t be wasted. God bless

The impact of your support
The money we receive will go to the Iorio’s light bill which will have a shut off notice this month. It will also help me pay my rent and keep gas in Tiffani’s transportation. I don’t ask for much very often because of pride, but I’m feeling exhausted and I don’t know where else to turn. God knows what we need and I have faith he will send us guardian angels to help us get through. Thanks again for any and all the help we receive. We just want her to be happy for whatever time she has left with us.
