It is with a sad heart that I must post this. My wonderful stepdad passed away, peacefully, on April 27, 2016. We would like to thank you all for your many prayers and support during this hard time.
All funds that we raised will go towards the service to celebrate his life. Again, we thank you so much for all of your generosity and love. Thomas was a great man and will be dearly missed by all.
Hello everyone! Thomas, my step father, found out that he has end stage lung disease about two months ago. He has idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, which is a rare and incurable lung disease. The doctors believe Thomas developed this disease from his years of working in a factory.
He recently took a turn for the worse and was placed in ICU. He is a candidate for a lung transplant and they are rushing him through all of the steps, due to the him being in the final stage of his disease. However, the doctors will not move forward with his lung transplant, until Pam, my mom, can prove that she can afford his after-transplant care.
If you would like to donate and can afford to help us raise money to cover Thomas' after-transplant care, we would greatly appreciate your kindness and generosity. Any amount you can donate will help us reach our goal.
The money you help us raise will go towards the initial cost needed for the surgery and for his medicine and living expenses for the year after the surgery. He will need to be in DFW for at least six months after he surgery.
Let's all help Thomas get a new set of lungs!!!!!!
Thank you,
Kenny
