On November 28, 2025, our lives changed forever. My husband was working on one of our cars in the driveway, determined to finish removing the engine from the truck his late uncle left him. He decided to make a quick run to the store for a Monster energy drink to help him stay awake and finish the job. As seen on the store camera, he went into the gas station, paid for his drink, and walked back to our truck. That's when five teenagers ran up behind him, told him to put his hands up, and, without warning, started shooting. He was shot over eight times and rushed to the trauma hospital, where we spent months fighting for his recovery.
Since that day, I have not been able to work because I need to care for him around the clock, and we just welcomed a new baby in February. We are still waiting for disability to be approved, but the process is slow and uncertain. My husband is a hardworking electrician and vehicle mechanic, a loving father of four, and an amazing husband. This has been one of the hardest things our family has ever faced.
We are not asking for your last, but anything you can give will help us right now. Your support means the world to us as we try to rebuild and care for our family during this incredibly difficult time.
