Please help me save little 3yr old Thiên's life without your help he will never have a chance at life. In my book this is simply not fair.
I visit South Easrt Asia regularly, I have done many medical missions to Vietnam over the last decade.
I was invited to visit this children's cancer hospital, where I met little Thiên and his family. His mother speaks broken English.
Thiên has just been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. The cost of treatment is $25,000 USD. in Vietnam there is no government safety net the parents have to pay the entire cost of the treatment, or the hospital cannot treat their son. I am told he has an 85% chance of a normal life with treatment.
The family earn about $400USD per month, they own no property and so have no means to pay for the treatment. This is heart breaking stuff having a young mother cry on your shoulder because she cant pay for treatment, her boy will die.
Makes our problems seem insignificant. I am happy to pay some of these costs but desperately need help from anyone who is willing. It only takes money to save a young life.
