It has been a few months since our last update on Barbara. During this time she has been incredibly strong and hopeful as she went through chemotherapy, additional surgeries and treatments right up until a few weeks ago. Her deep desire to be beside her family and friends for many more years pushed her hard. It is therefore with deep sadness that she found out a few weeks ago that there were no more additional treatments available that would cure her of this horribly aggressive disease. As Barbara spends her final few days quietly at home surrounded by Matt, Brandon, and Kyle and the life she loved so deeply, we wish her peace and pray deeply for her family and friends who cherish her so much.
