Help Theo during his HDU stay

Donation protected
Hi my name is Jorja, I am fundraising for our son Theo- Micheal Sanderson who had a very eventful start in life. Theo was born at 32 weeks and 4 days and 2 months early, weighing just 3lb and unknowingly was born with a blood clot in the main artery in his left leg, which eventually led to amputation of the lower left leg. This was a really big shock for us and took a while to get our heads around as he was just 3 nearly 4 weeks old. After being sent home from Leeds intensive we was then sent back to Doncaster nicu where he later then developed a few more issues such as chronic lung disease, up and down on oxygen requirements ( BIPAP, CPAP, High flow, Low flow, Nitrate, Ventilator, High frequency). Theo is getting sent home on oxygen as he oxygen dependent as well as iron, vitamin k to make his body better. We have currently been in nicu 56 days since birth which we are finding extremely hard especially with our daughter who is 11 months old. We are raising these funds for home improvements for when our boy is well enough to be home, travel as we currently don’t live in Doncaster but are making sure we are travelling up every day to be with our son.
UPDATE- Theo was discharged from Doncaster’s nicu at 104 days old, he was home for 2 days before we had a phone call that our son had to be re admitted due to a poor trace overnight. Theo then had a ct scan of the lung which shown the consultant that Theo’s case of chronic lung disease is the worst his consultant had came across in years. Theo’s airway wasn’t okay, one side being completely normal size then the other 20 times as big as it should of been, this was worrying to hear. Our boy has finally been handed over to Sheffield’s HDU, this is the best place for his care as they have a good respiratory team here aswell as the right equipment. Theo is currently back on high flow and usuing CPAP through the night we have also been given a plan from the doctors in Sheffield and they have a plan going forward. Plan A and plan B, A being steroids and to hope they get him better which they have done plenty of times before and B being CPAP through the night, if none of these work he may have to have a surgery called tracheotomy to help his airway. If this doesn’t work unfortunately they are going to have to call it terminal and stop helping our boy as he’s had pretty much everything after that.
