The performing arts were devastated by the impact of COVID-19 in 2020 and 2021. But adversity breeds innovation. In a time when New Zealanders have not been able to go to the theatre, The Barden Party brought entertaining professional theatre to the people - in their own gardens no less! Now, with the world opening up, we want to bring this innovative form of theatre to a bigger stage: The United States.  Our show has brought communities together, created jobs for talented actors, and spread joy and amazement far and wide. We are now calling on our amazing community for support in covering the travel costs to take our show to The United States of America in 2022.
So far, we've performed 40+ shows across New Zealand in the coming months. We can also proudly announce that we already have 2 shows booked in Hawaii, with 15-20 more in the pipeline between Los Angeles, Chicago, St. Louis, and New York City. 

We've received overwhelming feedback from every audience we've performed for, and were flattered by RNZ's headline about us: "Backyard Bards Changing  Landscape of New Zealand Theatre."

 But just as our unique mode of delivery has allowed us to operate across all COVID alert levels, our vision for The Barden Party transcends time, space, and national borders. We're taking on the world, and we want you to be a part of it. With your support, we will show the world the power of kiwi ingenuity to overcome adversity and bring people together with good art.
