The Baby Ronnie Foundation was established September 2022 in memory of our champ Ronnie Joe, who tragically passed away in August 2022 after a courageous 9 week battle in London.
Throughout the 2 years of Ronnie’s life he visited A&E roughly 10 times with breathing problems and was left undiagnosed with a CHD called restrictive cardiomyopathy, but by this time it was too late. The damage was so severe his little body could not take anymore. Ronnie went through what no baby should have to through including several cardiac arrests and 9 weeks of torture trying to fight.
The foundation's primary mission is to support children with congenital heart defects (CHDs) by delivering teddy bears to those hospitalised or having a procedure. We also prioritise raising awareness about CHDs within communities due to the amount of children left undiagnosed like our Ronnie was. In the past we have donated hundreds of toys to the Royal Brompton Hospital where Ronnie spent his final weeks,we have also donated lots of toys to the QEQM Hospital in Margate which was Ronnie’s local hospital. we have also held fundays in the community to raise more funds and awareness. Donations to the Baby Ronnie Foundation play a crucial role in fulfilling its mission to support children with congenital heart defects (CHDs) and their families. These contributions enable the foundation to Send Teddy Bears, Gifts and donate to other children’s fundraising pages, offering financial assistance to families in need and helping to cover medical expenses or other related costs.
These thoughtful gestures bring joy and comfort to young patients during challenging times. Overall, every donation to the Baby Ronnie Foundation directly impacts the lives of children with CHDs and their families, honouring Ronnie Joe’s memory through acts of kindness and support. Every donation no matter how small, is a huge help in supporting us to support others ♥️ We appreciate everyone who stands with us xxx
