On New Years Eve, around 1 AM, my sister-in-law’s apartment complex caught on fire in the middle of the night, destroying all of their personal property as well as 20 other families that shared the building. Thanks to nothing short of a miracle and a guardian angel in the right place at the right time, everyone made it out alive and unharmed, as the building was not equipped with smoke alarms, thanks to a Good Samaritan that saw the flames and stopped to knock on doors. However, Rachael (Bella), Akeen, and baby Asher have lost everything, with exception of a few clothing items they were able to salvage and the shoes on their feet. They are in the process of deciding how to rebuild their lives from scratch and could use all of they help they can get for their sweet family right now. Any dollar amount helps as they need every day items to survive such as diapers and food, but will also be climbing an unimaginable mountain for months to come as they get back on their feet.
