MANY PEOPLE DON'T BELIEVE A PERSON CAN REALLY CHANGE, BUT THEY SURE CAN!
Over thirty three years ago my life was drastically changed though Jesus and help from others and I have seen hundreds of others change as well!
I was asked to pioneer a new mentoring program in Orange County for men and women, transitioning back into the community, connecting them with volunteers to mentor them as they rebuild their lives and families. Onesimus Mentoring, Inc., a California non-profit corporation was founded, of which I am the Program Director, (Onesimus Mentoring Website).
Over this last year, I have worked as a volunteer to pioneer, develop and implement this local mission work, which is going great but without funds to compensate staff at this time. I need funds to support my wife, Ruthie and my daughter Rachel, so I can continue to do this vital work.
Already lives and families are being changed! With mentors from local churches, support groups and classes being implemented, men and women are being touched by God's love and compassion.
Like Theresa who is connected with one of our mentors who helped her get into a Christian residential program, and she is now almost one year drug free and reuniting with her daughter.
David and his wife Rachel, both now over one year drug free, reunited with family, church, working and going to school.
JoJo turning from drugs and being baptized at a local church after rededicating his life to Jesus! So many more are being reached!!!
We are working hard and trusting God to supply our needs. My family needs funds, and others things as well like a decent car & laptop, so whatever anyone can do to help us to pioneer this new local mission to bring the love and hope of Jesus in Orange County, we would be eternally grateful!
