As many of you know of the canal break that occurred on June 6th ruined a few homes and created a lot of damage.
This one home belongs to one of my dearest and closest friends, Bryan and Selena Perry. Their house received several feet of flooding and from the picture above you can see their beautiful garden and yard and their cars were flooded and damaged. The entire basement floor is gone as well as the mid-level floor. The house will need numerous repairs from the floors, walls, and air ventilation system. They've lost all of their furniture and clothes during this horrible un-natural disaster. They have 3 children who have been devastated watching their beautiful backyard and toys get destroyed in a matter of minutes. Ethan (10) had his room in the basement and there is nothing to salvage out of it. As you can imagine, it is devastating to see our loved ones and community experience such loss.
Many people have asked what they can do to help. From here they will have to replace most everything and rebuild from the ground up. If you feel so inclined to help, we are asking for donations. Anything will help- no amount is too small.
I ask you to help this family raise as much as we can to help them place their lives back in order. Many of you know Selena and Bryan and know they would give the shirt off their back if someone needed it. Every little bit goes a long way in repairing this house.
