The Last Picture Show takes place in a dystopian future, where the fascist Red Party runs the government with an iron fist.
My film draws inspiration from sci-fi dystopian films like "The Giver" and "The Divergent Series" to answer the question "In a world controlled by fasiscm, what role will films have?"
The money you donate will go to help paying for equipment rentals, location fees, travel costs for cast, post production, and festival entries.
In addition to production needs, as a student run set, your donation will directly help fund the education of hardworking film students at George Mason University, who need on set-experience to hone their skills.
But don't assume these film students aren't knowledgeable. Each department is headed by students with lots of experience in their concentrations. With new students or students wanting learning a new department filling under their direction. I crew my sets this way as educational tool, paying it forward to the new creators and artists in the film industry.
We as students really appreciate anyone helping to support our education in this amazing and creative field. I personally want to say thank you in advance to anyone who donates to my project.
Everyone who donates any amount will get a special thank you credit in the film.
