Laurel Tennant has temporarily relocated to Bethesda, Maryland in order to serve as bone marrow donor for her younger brother, Abe, who suffers from a rare disorder called Gatta II. While this is an incurable disease, the transplant will hopefully provide a stronger defense for Abe's system. The National Institute of Research and Health will provide for Abe during his extended stay, but, except for the cost of donor surgery and immediate hospitalization, Laurel and her famity must provide for their own food, housing, transportation, and other various necessities. Unfortunately, the duration of their stay and rigors of follow-up care keep them from working or obtaining any sort of income during this time.
