This past year has been incredibly challenging for our family. We’ve faced two totaled cars—one after hitting a deer and another after a collision with another driver. Now, we’re relying on a 17-year-old car that doesn’t have traction control and often won’t start in the cold. On top of that, our AC unit needed to be replaced, and now our auxiliary heater isn’t working, making it tough to keep our home warm during the winter. When our dishwasher broke, we were so grateful that a kind donor stepped in to help.

But the hardships haven’t stopped there. We’ve also experienced the heartbreaking loss of Nana, three beloved cats, and a rabbit. Happily welcoming a nother "child" to our household. Now, most recently, our 12-year-old, Jaxson, needed an emergency appendectomy after his appendix burst and he became septic. The stress and worry of seeing our child so sick has been overwhelming, and the unexpected medical bills have added to our financial strain.

We are a family that tries so hard to support those around us and bring good to the world. The last few years have been a struggle financially and emotionally, and it’s difficult for us to ask for help. Our families have been incredibly supportive, but the last few months have hit us so hard that we’re just not sure how to recover.
