Fund Shana Squyres’ Recovery: Rebuild After Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC)

Report for Duty: The Recovery Draft is Live

Imagine walking into my home and seeing the aftermath of a destructive, 18-month rager. The circus tent is still sagging in the grass, the furniture is smashed, and the walls are stained. I fought the Red Diva, survived the surgeries, and endured radiation and immunotherapy—but the Circus experience left behind a path of destruction that no one sees from the outside.

The music has stopped. The audience went home. I am standing here alone with the vacuum.

The Reality of the Cleanup

For everyone else, the show is over. Because I am standing, the world assumes I am "well." But the truth is, I am standing in the middle of the debris, tasked with fixing everything the treatments broke.

I met with my new Primary Care Physician on Friday, and the scope of my recovery from Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) became clear. To reach the point of being completely healed, I have a mountain of work ahead of me. I now have 13 new specialists required to help me rebuild the wreckage that the cancer treatments left behind in my body and my life. These are the experts needed to repair the collateral damage to my heart, my lungs, and my physical strength—areas the Red Diva and the Circus fire-breathers touched.

The Need for the Army

I feel incredibly alone in this. I am exhausted, and the gap I am bridging is financial, physical, and emotional. Between the co-pays for these 13 specialists, the travel to appointments, and the care required to repair the damage from TNBC, the "cleanup" is a massive undertaking.

I am The Breast Warrioress®, and right now, I am calling for a DRAFT. I am not just asking for help; I am asking for my Army to mobilize. If you have been on the sidelines watching this journey play out and thinking, "Someday I’ll help Shana," I am telling you that now is the time. I cannot clean this house and tear down this tent by myself. The "after" of cancer is often more expensive and lonelier than the treatment itself.

How You Can Report for Duty Today:

• Donate to the Recovery Fund: Help me cover the costs of these 13 specialists so I can focus on healing.

• Pray for Strength: For the endurance to climb this final mountain.

• Share the Draft: Help me recruit more members to my Army—I can’t hold the line alone.

Stand up, raise your hands, and let me see your faces. Report for duty in the comments below.

Onward,

The Breast Warrioress®
