The Big Match is back at Southampton FC on May 30th and we will be raising money for various causes which includes-

A young Boy called Finley.

Finley was born with a rare genetic condition called lymphangioma which affects his face and airway meaning he has a tracheostomy to support his breathing. Finley spent the first six months of his life in hospital at Southampton and then Poole but since then has been living life to the fullest and progressing amazingly. Despite his parents being told that he may not talk, eat or even walk he has defied the odds and done all of these things and more.

Unfortunately Finley suffered a massive seizure in January, unrelated to his existing condition, which has resulted in significant brain damage and he now has to relearn to walk, talk and eat again which will require extensive rehabilitation therapy.”

“LETS MAKE HAPPEN AND SUPPORT THESE CAUSES”

We hope to raise enough money to help Home-Start keep up their fantastic work and to help Finley!
Please support us in doing so.

We are delighted to be supporting Home-Start UK

Home-Start works with families in communities right across the UK. Starting in the home, Their approach is as individual as the people they are helping. No judgement, it is just compassionate, confidential help and expert support.

Last year Home-Start supported 78,900 children in 43,692 families, in communities across the UK and The Big Match are proud to help them futher support those that need it most.

There are around 180 local, independent Home-Starts working in 71% of local authority areas across the UK.

Across all four nations of the United Kingdom last year, thousands of home-visiting volunteers supported 43,692 families and 78,900 children to transform their lives.

Families struggling with postnatal depression, isolation, physical health problems, bereavement and many other issues receive the support of a volunteer who will spend around two hours a week in a family’s home supporting them in the ways they need.

Home-Starts across the UK also support families in groups, hold day trips and Christmas parties and help access local services, as well as lots of other support.
