The Big Hike - A marathon through the mountains

Hi, my name is Chloe and I’m fundraising for Canine Castaways, a dog shelter situated in Avgorou Cyprus, owned and run by Angie.

To raise money for Canine Castaways, my husband and I are taking on the challenge of hiking a marathon through the Trodos Mountains; We will be hiking 42.2km/26miles across the arduous but scenic terrain that the Cypriot mountain range has to offer.

Angie has been helping strays and their pups, lost, injured and abandoned dogs for years out in Cyprus and currently has over 50 dogs in her care.

These dogs range from a few months old, all the way up to 14 years. The end goal for every animal in Angies care is to be adopted or fostered out to loving families all over the world!

Angie relies on volunteers and donations in order to care of these animals! Angie has a full time job that she juggles along side the shelter, where she spends most of her own hard earned money on food, vaccinations and vet bills for these animals.

100% of your donations to this cause will go towards food, vaccinations, castrations/neutering and medical bills to help keep these dogs healthy, happy and ready for their new homes!
