Adam Joseph Hansen
Adam passed away May 10th, 2020 from a heart attack. He is survived by his wife Cyrena Osmanberg Hansen, his 4 wonderful children, Carson (20) Claire (14) Callie (7) and Lillian (5), his father Jack Hansen, his mother Patricia Davis, his sister Anne Zeller and his niece Madison Timbrook. He left us too soon.
Adam was born in Des Plaines, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago to Jack Hansen and Patricia Didier Davis. The young family moved west for job opportunities early in his life and on the way west, he gained a loving sister, Anne Hansen Zeller. Chicago always had a special place in his heart and it showed in his love for their sports teams. He was an active and mischievous kid and played sports throughout his school years. Adam’s first job was at McDonalds, but he quickly moved to construction and learned the trade of stucco and plaster. He was proud of his work and would drive around town showing his kids houses he had worked on. He started the electrical apprenticeship not long after his son was born to give him a more stable career. He worked hard to learn and excel in his training and earned NICET certifications for fire alarm engineering. He was respected in the industry and worked on many interesting projects.
Adam was a wonderful father and his mom credits this in part to her giving him a baby doll to play with when he was young. He loved sharing his hobbies with his kids and made sacrifices to ensure they were cared for. He was a good friend to many and garnered respect with friends, co-workers and colleagues he met along the way. Adam and Cyrena were a great match and both felt they were meant to be. They put in the work to get through the hard times and were happily raising their two children together.
One of the most interesting things about Adam was his love of hobbies. He lived his life on his own terms and wanted to try it all. Some of his most loved hobbies throughout his life were travel, working at his property, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking/camping, sport card collecting, horticulture, tinkering with computers and electronics, golf, snowboarding, wood working, going to concerts, and his beloved traeger smoker.
He is loved my many and will be so missed.
