Please help these 2 brothers that have been hit multiple times. They have been on the streets for 2 years and were dropped off on I-5 outside Coalinga CA.
Both boys are gimpy due being struck by trucks and cars. Since the picture was taken, both boys have been hit. Brownie was struck and his front left leg is broken, his paw is crushed, and probably his jaw is broken as he cannot bark anymore. Blackie's back right leg is broken, or maybe his hip or knee, hard to tell, and he was also hit by a big rig that drilled a hole into his right shoulder from a spiked hubcap.
They live off the land, so to speak, dependent on kind motorists that toss a chicken nugget or bite of hot dog. Their only water had been the sprinkler at Carls Jr and the blue windshield wiper fluid at the gas stations. We call them Brownie and Blackie. They are shy and very scared.
We have a trap set that we purchased with a donation. We put out bottled water and provide food daily. We bought igloos, beds, blankets, warming pad, flea/tick preventative, anti-biotics, vitamins, and treats.
**Now we need help because we are getting quotes of $6,000.00 and up from the many veterinarians we have called. Not one of them will let us have payments. Some offer discounts but not on medication. Therefore we have to raise the cash first to pay a veterinarian for the x-rays, surgery, vaccination, neuter, meds, etc.
Animal control cannot help because the boys are "out of jurisdiction" and too far from Fresno. We ask that you please help. A non-profit corporation was established to help these boys and your donations are tax deductible. No person benefits from The Least of These, A K9 Rescue Charity as there are no employees. The board serves as volunteers and pays for all administrative costs. Your contribution goes only for the boys care.
