The Fix Franky Fundraiser

Hi, I'm Jamie. My good friend and FLICKER bandmate Franky Bechard was diagnosed with a rare condition 2 years ago called Avascular Necrosis (AVN). Its caused from prolonged use of oral steroids which he took for his asthma most of his life.

AVN basically kills the arteries around your hips and legs, resulting in the bones getting brittle and eventually crumbling. Only his right side was affected at the time, and after a year and a half of doctors, surgeries, and physiotherapy, he finally had a new right hip and femur, and had a full recovery. He just got back into the workforce this year and unfortunately we just found out his left hip is starting to deteriorate now. So he's gotta go thru it all again. It'll be 6 - 12 months before he can start working again. He's a single dad so I'm hoping to help ease some of his financial burdens as he waits for his next surgery.
