Davide Genio, one of the kindest souls you will ever meet. That’s what people say who were lucky enough to have met him!
Davide was originally from Montreal, Canada and recently moved to Orlando, Florida to embark on a new adventure as a franchisee of the first Mr. Puffs Dessert Bar in the US. Unfortunately, a few weeks short of the grand opening, Davide fell ill. He was rushed to the hospital and within three weeks, he passed away at the age of 48.
He was there during the construction of his store, he was there during the stocking of his store and he was there to train his new staff members. He was so proud of that store and was impatiently waiting for the next step, opening day, which was scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2020. Unfortunately, that day never came. Davide left us on Sunday, March 15, 2020.
Davide leaves behind his wife, three children, parents, brother and sister, and many friends and family members who loved him very much. Davide was a member of the Mr. Puffs family and worked at the Mr. Puffs store in Montreal to train for his big moment in Florida. He's described by his coworkers as kind, hard working, funny and compassionate. Everybody gravitated towards him, he was everyone’s friend.
When someone passes, parents are devastated, siblings are in shock and disbelief, and what can you say about his wife and children? Their life suddenly came crashing down. In addition to that, they must cope with a load of unexpected expenses and how they will pay for them all. Instead, they should be focusing on each other, comforting each other, on grieving in peace and saying goodbye to their loved one. They should all be coming together to reassure the young widow and children that everything will be ok.
This fund is there to do just that. To provide financial assistance to the family to cover such costs as funeral costs, medical bills and provide a helping hand to this young family who desperately needs it during this difficult time.
We kindly ask to donate what you can. Anything helps and no donation is too small. Know that your kindness will be donated to a family in need, to children who have lost their hero and his wife who lost the love of her life.
Thank you for your contribution and kind generosity.
Respectfully,
The Mr. Puffs Family
