URGENT Update: 

What began as financial support during a rough time of our family kitty becoming severely ill and needing to recoup major financial loss, has now evolved into an even larger need. Dawn, the single mom of the Bent family of 3 (plus kitty) devastatingly lost her job of 2 1/2 years on December 3rd due to needing the day off of the day before Thanksgiving to save the life of Fionna. All support goes directly to monthly rent of $2050 per month and all essential expenses while Dawn navigates finding a new job and filing for unemployment and other resources. 

Original story: 

Our beloved kitty Fionna of 7 years has become very sick with what the vet has diagnosed as a severe bladder infection (cystitis.) Her health began declining around 11/22/25. To date, Fionna has not eaten a full meal in 3 days due to her illness. Not having any separate funds to pay for her emergency care, the family had to make the difficult choice to use rent money to cover the cost of the vet bill and cocktails of medicines hoping it will cure her. In the vet’s findings, they’ve also found her liver and spleen are enlarged with no answers as to why. Fionna’s litter mate and brother Finn passed away in April of this year due to liver cancer, which shocked the family and still has them grieving. The hope is to recoup some loss and use these funds to pay back-rent for October and November and ensure that this family will be safe from eviction this holiday season.
