Have you ever met someone that makes such an impact on your life and they don't even realize how truly special they are? That's My Dana!
Dana's day job is to assist my clients through the process of homeownership. She is so patient and kind. She makes me better. While I qualify and close, she does all the real work. That's My Dana!
Dana is a single mom who adores her teenage son. They have one of those bonds that are so incredibly special. After working a hard 10 hours a day you could find her on the soccer field cheering him on! Rain or Shine. That's My Dana!
I remember when I met Dana 2 years ago. I was interviewing her for the position as my assistant, we met at Starbucks. When that spunky red head in high heels walked in the door.... I knew. That's My Dana!
About 2 months ago Dana went for a mammogram which she hasn't been able to do in years. As a single mom her priorities were more of taking care of her son than it was on taking care of herself. Dana got a suspicious finding on her mammogram, when they told her they wanted to do a biopsy and what the out of pocket cost would be she felt "suspicious" wasn't worth the cost. She didn’t feel sick or feel any lumps or pain. As a matter of fact, she never felt better.
Why was she going to pay this money she didn't have, to get a biopsy to find out it was nothing?
I convinced her to call the insurance company to see if they would pay for a second opinion. She was able to get the 3-D mammogram. Well it confirmed she had to get the biopsy. Here we are 2 surgeries later and one more soon, she will have to undergo chemotherapy treatments and daily radiation. She is a fighter; she will beat Breast Cancer. That's My Dana!
I always give to charitable organizations, I like to believe the money I give makes a difference or helps make one. That's My Dana! Campaign will directly make an impact on the financial burden beating Cancer can take on a single Super Mom.
If you can afford to donate some extra money to help ease her financial burden, you will directly be responsible for reducing the stress level which can limit healing and make the fight that much harder.
