Last week, tragedy struck our beloved Quranic memorization school, Masjid Noor, located in Serekunda by Bartez in The Gambia. A sudden and devastating fire broke out, destroying the majority of the building and everything inside.

We lost precious Qurans, the students’ clothing, food supplies, and essential teaching materials. The students, many of whom live and study here full-time, have been left without basic necessities and a safe place to continue their Islamic education.

Masjid Noor has been a pillar in our community — a place where children dedicate themselves to memorizing the Holy Quran, growing in their faith, and building a future grounded in knowledge and righteousness. This school is not just a building — it’s a spiritual home for dozens of young boys who are now displaced and deeply affected.

We are humbly reaching out to you — our brothers and sisters around the world — to help us rebuild. Your donation will go directly toward:

    •    Reconstructing the damaged parts of the school and masjid

    •    Replacing Qurans and essential learning materials

    •    Providing food, clothing, and sleeping arrangements for the students

    •    Restoring a safe and clean environment for the continuation of Quranic education
