In 2013 Tessa's family took her to the Emergency room with her complaining of stomach ache and hip pain. Three weeks later they left after hearing four words that no patent ever wants to hear, "Your daughter has Cancer". Not only Cancer but Stage Four Neuroblastoma.
Since then, Tessa has traveled all over undergoing MANY rounds of chemotherapy, two tumor resection surgeries, a stem cell harvest and a high dose radiation treatment called MIBG, and MANY different clinical trials. Her response to treatment at first was slow going, sometimes even stumping her doctors. But unfortunately Tessa's disease has recently taken a turn for the worse, it has now spread to her Lungs and Liver.
