Terry Perry Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Dear friends and loved ones,
This fund was initially created to support my mom, Terry (Sims) Perry's funeral (original post below). Her accidental death Sunday, August 15, 2021, was sudden and tragic leaving everyone in disbelief and bewilderment. Outwardly, my mom's bubbly personality, cheerfulness, and inviting smile were irresistible. However inwardly, she was desolated and deeply scared by an abusive childhood. Her dark past led her to develop mental illness, drug & alcohol abuse to cope, subsequent deteriorated health, and eventually her demise.
My family's secretive nature surrounding my mom's past always made me feel ashamed and secretive as well. Although the memories and effects were not cross to bear, I was collateral damage. Now that my mom and her mom have both passed, I feel that it is imperative to share our family story.
I'm writing a memoir to document the horrific events whose haunting ripples infected generations to follow. The objective of this memoir is to
- bring these taboo topics to light
- provide solace and encouragement for anyone facing these issues
- forge and promote a support network in Terry's name and honor
If you or anyone you hold dear to your heart has ever been affected by depression, bipolar disorder, drug & alcohol abuse, dysfunctional family dynamics, sexual abuse, or post-traumatic stress disorder, please support and share this initiative.
Peace & Blessings,
Danielle Lopez (daughter) & Terry Perry, in spirit

Terry had the kind of energy that would automatically shift the mood of any room. Her enthusiasm was radiant in advance of her presence. Everywhere she went, she knew people by name - she had a unique way of making people feel special with her silly jokes, genuine compliments, or simply asking " how are you doing today?"?
Her radiance touched so many lives, the world will be a dimmer place without her. The life that will be impacted most is that of her loving husband, Bill. As many of you know, he is a disabled Viet Nam veteran and she's been his companion, best friend, and caregiver for a long time. An infection earlier this year sent Bill to rehab where he relearned to swallow and walk. Since then, his cognitive functions have noticeably declined.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated for years to come - all money raised will go towards funeral expenses and Bill's healthcare. Thank you in advance for your love and support.
With love and appreciation,
