Terry Olson's Re-Entry Into Life
Donation protected
Terry Olson spent over 11 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit.
Terry was wrongfully convicted of murder in 2007 but thanks to the tremendous help from the Innocence Project of Minnesota (Julie Jonas & Heather Ring) and attorney, David T. Shultz of Maslon LLP, Terry was finally released on September 13, 2016.
Unfortunately, Terry is unable to collect monetary compensation from the State of Minnesota under terms of agreement of his release. Now Terry is trying to build his life as a free man after 11 years (including the time during the trial) behind bars. The costs of everyday things like obtaining a drivers license or social security card are uphill battles when you have been left with nothing.
Money raised will help Terry's re-entry into life which will include basic necessities such as clothing, personal care items, food, living expenses, identification/driver's license applications, transportation, insurance, affordable housing and more.
While in prison, Terry started a legal correspondence course which he plans on continuing and eventually being involved in the legal community to help exonerate other innocent people.

Terry feeling grass for the first time in 11 years on the day he was released. Terry is looking forward to spending time with family and is enjoying simple pleasures like fishing and Coca-cola!
