Stage 4 Breast Cancer Bucket List Item #1: Visit Ireland!

My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 Triple Negative Breast Cancer, shortly before Thanksgiving 2024.

This is one of the worst possible types of breast cancer because it grows and spreads so incredibly quickly. There were no symptoms until suddenly there were. By the time there were symptoms, it was already stage 4, meaning it has already traveled the lymphatic system to other organs.

There will be no cure. Without chemo, we might not get another Thanksgiving with her. The purpose of chemotherapy is to try to slow down the growth and spread of it, to give her as much time as possible with us.

My mom has been fascinated by rainbows her whole life. I've never met anyone who can find as many four-leaf clovers as she can. She finds them when she's not even looking for them. She's always been enthusiastic about her Irish heritage, proudly claiming her Kelley last name.

When we were kids, she talked incessantly about going to Ireland. She bought all the books about traveling there. It would have been her dream vacation, a trip of a lifetime. But she never got to go.

Please help us grant my mom's #1 bucket list item: To Visit Ireland! It would be the trip of a lifetime, maybe a little bit of a rainbow in this bleakly stormy chapter of life.

If there were enough time, I would save up the money for it on my own. But she hasn't been given much time, so I'm asking for help before we run out of it.
