Help Teri Dalgleish Fight Cancer
Donation protected
On March 20, 2015, our dear friend, wife, sister and daughter, Teri Evans Dalgleish, received the news that she has Stage 2, Grade 7 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. breast cancer. We are going to keep those words small and insignificant because Teri is going to win this fight. The first tumor is large and has created a second one. Radical treatment, including mastectomy, chemo and radiation, is necessary. With things of this nature, particularly with something aggressive, the cost can be devastating. This gofundme is to raise money to offset her medical expenses and to provide Teri with a wig of her own hair.
Teri has been married to the love of her life, Dan, for 25 years. She has been working since she was 14 years old and held positions at great companies like Ernst Hardware and Costco. She and Dan started their own construction company and did well until the housing market crash of 2008. They barely avoided bankruptcy and suffered some pretty serious personal struggles as well. They were never able to have children, even after surgery and fertility treatments. This was a great source of sadness for them both. Between 2011 and 2013 they lost 12 family members to cancer, heart attacks and other illness. Teri was diagnosed with Celiac disease, something that will be very difficult to manage as she fights cancer now. Her brother in law suffered a devastating accident in 2013 that left him severely injured and at this time not fully recovered. And her beloved husband, Dan, suffered a horrible accident at work last year and nearly severed his arm. He was not able to work for 4 months.
But through this all, Teri has abundant joy in her life. Instead of children, she raises Olde English Pocket Beagles and they are her passion. Her 80 year old mother is still with her and she has 5 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. She loves genealogy and has brought people together who may never have met otherwise. She loves to garden and read. She has many friends that adore her. She has a doting husband and ALWAYS Teri has a smile on her face. No matter what hardship she is facing, she is selfless and cheerful and always willing to help someone else. Teri is strong and has overcome so much. We are praying and know that she can overcome this as well.
Teri and Dan have suffered great loss in their lives and many hurdles. We are asking for you to participate as a silent hero in their lives and help to cover some of the medical expenses that will rapidly arise. Teri does have a minimal insurance policy but they don’t cover much. We would love for Teri to focus on her health and recovery without the huge added stress of financial ruin. Please, give what you can. No amount is too small and every single penny will help. If you cannot give, please pray for her and share her story so that we can get as many people involved as possible. We need your support and in return we will all pay it forward to someone else that needs help as well. Thank you for whatever you can give.
