I am Temeshia Chambers have been fighting for my life. What was supposed to be a routine one-day procedure at Baylor St. Luke Medical Center in Houston, TX, has turned into a harrowing battle to stay alive. I woke up after being in a coma for 6 weeks. I was told that during my one-day surgery, my colon was punctured.

Since then, I have undergone many surgeries to try and heal the damage, reversing sepsis, recovering from pneumonia, and enduring almost daily surgeries to ward off infections. They had to remove part of her colon, stomach, tissue, and muscle. The journey to recovery has been a long and arduous one, with more surgeries still to come. This is my third month in the hospital. With the prayers of my family and friends I lived. My treatment continues. During my stay, my mother and aunt have been there. The cost of parking and other expenses have been enormous. Please help me by providing financial assitance for them to support me as I contiune this journey. My hospital stay will continue for about another month. Afterward, we are looking at a Rehabilitation Facility for a year or more. As, a Navy Veteran I am planning to succeed by walking out of this hospital soon. My, progress is good because now I can eat regular food (no more feeding tube).
