Hi friends!

I’m coming to you with a big ask — and sharing this with a lot of faith and vulnerability, because closed mouths don’t get fed. You might notice I’ve updated the goal of this fundraiser, here's why:

I’ve been accepted to the University of Oxford to pursue a Master’s in Education (Digital and Social Change) — a huge step toward my dream of improving education systems in Saint Lucia and the Eastern Caribbean through my charity, Do Something Different (https://www.dsdfoundation.com/).

I founded DSD in 2017 and since then we have already made a huge positive impact towards St Lucian youth by providing resources and supplies to support their academic year.

In 2020, I was awarded the Saint Lucia Medal of Honour for this work in youth development. In that same year, I successfully secured a full scholarship and moved to England to pursue my Bachelors in Digital Marketing-graduating with First-Class Honours. Since 2020, I have been building a life in the UK while continuing my work back home and I was so excited to receive this Masters opportunity at one of the world’s top universities.

This course is exactly what I’ve been searching for — combining education and tech to help me create long-term, meaningful change in St Lucia and beyond. But I need help getting there.

The total cost is £70,650 (crazy, I know). I’m not eligible for a student loan and I’ve applied to multiple full and partial scholarships but have been unsuccessful.

I’ve been working two jobs to try to save as much as possible but with deadlines coming up fast, I’ve barely made a dent. I need to raise this money by 15th June to secure my place at Oxford so this GoFundMe is my last resort — and a leap of faith.
