Teenage Stroke Victim

Hi, my name is Angela Christensen, and I'm raising funds for my 13-year-old nephew Joseph who suffered a major stroke in November 2022. Together we can help him and his family focus on healing without the dark cloud of a financial catastrophe hanging over their heads. He is currently recovering at Primary Children's Hospital and will have a grueling road of therapy and hard work ahead of him. At this time, he can not use his left arm or hand, and the left side of his face is affected, affecting his speech. He can not sit up, stand up, or walk. Joseph is the sweetest boy who was perfectly healthy and loves being physically active. He loves playing sports, mountain biking, skateboarding, wrestling with his younger brother, and being in the great outdoors. Joe loves to tease those he loves and is always quick to serve and help those who need it. If he cannot regain his ability to walk, his family will have some expensive renovations to their split-level home to make it wheelchair accessible. They would also need a new vehicle to accommodate his needs and equipment. For now, they want to focus on giving him the best therapy he can get so he can recover as much of his former life and abilities as possible. They do have insurance, but their particular plan could have them on the hook for tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, for his extended stay at the hospital and intensive therapy. His Dad will also need to miss a lot of work to assist him. Any donation would be profoundly appreciated and would go far in helping this incredible family during this tragic and life-altering time.
