Hollie and Glenn are two of the kindest, loveliest people you could ever hope to meet. Hollie is a much-adored 41-year-old wife and mum to three gorgeous girls aged 7, 12 and 15. This August, a few weeks into the school summer holidays, Hollie was diagnosed with advanced, incurable stomach cancer. The road ahead is incredibly difficult but she is absolutely determined to fight for as much time with her family as she can.

Glenn and Hollie are always there for the people around them, and now their friends and family want to be there for them. Right now, Christmas together is an important milestone. Hollie wants to be there, at home, making Christmas memories with Glenn and the girls – and then we want to help her fight for every milestone that comes after it.

Hollie needs your help to explore additional treatment options and specialist advice that may not be readily available through current NHS pathways. Cancer treatment is advancing rapidly, and Hollie’s cancer has already been found to have characteristics that mean there are targeted treatments and other potential treatment approaches that may be relevant to her. Some of these opportunities may involve significant costs.

Whilst we can’t know for sure what any treatment will achieve, what we can do is make sure that, wherever possible, money isn’t the reason Hollie can’t explore an option that could give her more time.

This isn’t only about treatment. We also want Hollie, Glenn and the girls to have the chance to make the most of their time together and create some special memories along the way.

Hollie and Glenn celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary this summer. We’d love them to have the freedom to enjoy some treasured experiences together – whether that’s a holiday, days out, something the girls have always wanted to do, or simply precious time together without the financial worries that inevitably come with everything they’re facing.

This is about hope. It’s about giving Hollie every opportunity we possibly can. And above everything else, it’s about giving her more precious time with Glenn and her three girls.

Every donation, however large or small, will help. If you aren’t able to donate, please share Hollie’s page. It might reach someone who can help – whether through a donation, a contact or an opportunity we don’t yet know exists.

Unfortunately, the symptoms of early-stage stomach cancer are often minor at most. So it is usually diagnosed at stages 3 and 4. People display no symptoms until these stages usually, which can make it harder to know something is wrong. It is fairly rare in the UK; roughly 1 in every 10,000 people

About this fundraiser: This fundraiser has been set up by Hollie’s sister Amy, with help from Beckie Kops, Jo Warne, and Lisa Gould – friends of Hollie and Glenn– with their full knowledge and blessing.

Glenn is the named beneficiary of the fundraiser, which means the money raised through this page will go directly to him and the family.

We want everyone supporting Hollie to know that this is a genuine fundraiser created by friends who know and love the family. The organisers are named, and Dr Lisa Gould is a medical lecturer at University College London with a publicly verifiable professional profile. The money raised will help Hollie and Glenn explore medical opportunities that may give Hollie more precious time with her girls, while also helping them make some wonderful memories together as a family.

We’ll keep the page updated as things progress and, with Hollie and Glenn’s permission, share how everyone’s incredible support is helping.
