Our family has been through the wringer the past 2 years and we have utilized every recourse we had before creating a crowd funding account.

It all started Sep 2022 when Rose was in a car accident . Rolling and totalling her vehicle due to roadwork that was unmarked on I-70. We lost our vehicle and insurance didn't give us our full car's value because we were missing gap insurance. We were down to 1 vehicle and shortly after the accident, Rose found out she was pregnant. At the ultrasound, we found out that the accident caused our son's heart to stop growing on the left side, developing Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.

We had to travel 2 hours to KC for all our prenatal appointments and relocate there for the birth.

When Timur was born, May 2023, we lived in a hotel in KC for 4 months during maternity leave but eventually had to come back home. We couldn't financially afford a hotel and mortgage back home. In September, after his 2nd open heart surgery, Timur caught Rhinovirus, coded for 40 minutes and then spent 3 weeks fighting for his life on ECMO. Our son ended up living alone in the hospital for 10 months. Rose exclusively pumped and traveled 2 days a week to deliver the milk and see the baby. John helped hold down the kids and work whenever possible.

In March 2024, Timur was finally discharged from the hospital and that's when Rose started facing trouble with her lack of ability to work too.

April 2024, Rose closed her business as Timur's health declined. We lived off the profits of the business and all our savings for as long as we could. June and July, Rose and Timur spent in the ICU with more complications and finally July 26th, Timur was discharged on Hospice with no plans to continue treatment. We were devastated.

6 months go by and we work so hard to keep Timur with us. His health is improving and the doctors are making hints at graduating Hospice.

However, without the ability to pay bills, Rose will have to get a full time job and leave the care of Timur to whomever would be available. Risking any progress we made in his health.

We just need to make it through this rough patch ❤️
