Our friend Tamara Purdie of Birmingham, AL was just diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer which is a rare breast cancer and makes up only 1-6 % of cases in the US. She was diagnosed on 2 Jan 2018. We will Win!!! Our strategy: Her chemotherapy is set to begin on 14 February 2018, every 3 weeks then on for 6 sessions. This takes her out to May 2018. We will Pray, Contribute To, Reach Out To and Support Tam in any way Possible. As many of you know Tam is a hard worker, has one daughter, is raising her deceased sister's (died of a heart attack) daughters. Additionally, she is caring for her mother who broke her foot during the week of 11 January 2018. She is doing the best she can given the circumstances. I'm humbly asking your assistance in raising funds to support her treatment and recovery (medication, transportion and any other needs). We know Tam as a great friend, fellow-alum, mother, colleague, etc. Tam is in for a fight. We love and support her. This is a way to show our support and allow Tam to focus on recovery. WE LOVE TEAM TAM!!!
