Our mission at Message Theater has always been to fill the cultural void in the City of Lexington, Kentucky. Theater as art transcends life and helps to bring communities together. We have always wanted a vivrant venue to not only see our story being told but to tell it as well.
We are taking on the ultimate task of producing not just a play but an event in Lexington. This year marks the 60th anniversary of Lorraine Hansberry's "A Raisin in the Sun" and we are going to present it at The Opera House but we need your help. Be a part of this epic journey by making a donation and bring this groundbreaking, award winning play the anniversary of a lifetime.
The monies raised will help with production costs and proceeds will go to benefit Nia Urban Ministries Inc., a faith-based, nonprofit organization mobilizing people for vital ministry primarily in the urban neighborhoods of Lexington. All funds received (with the exception of fees from GoFundMe, PayPal, and credit card agencies) will go directly to support this effort.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 no later than September 23, 2018. You can help us with your gift and recieve one of the following:
Become a Friend of the Message - $50 +
Receive a Social Media Shout - $100 +
Receive a Message in the Program - $500 +
Receive VIP Treatment at the Special Event - $1,000 +
