To our extraordinary community,

You may have heard that our magnificent Molly O’Toole, née McAlvannah, is fighting breast cancer.  She will be taking the first part of the school year off to focus on her treatments and getting well.  Molly O’Toole, currently a second grade teacher at Key Elementary, is an exceptional educator who brings love, learning and support to every child she encounters.  She is a champion of kindness and inclusion, and takes great care of our children.

We feel it’s our turn to take care of a teacher.

Many of you have reached out for advice on what you can do to help. 

As many of us know from all too real experiences, cancer can do more than just threaten your physical health.  The fight against it brings unexpected expenses, medical bills, and often time away from work and loss of income.  Our aim is to raise enough money to make up for loss in income and hopefully cover some of the unexpected costs.  Our ultimate goal is to make sure that the O’Toole Family doesn’t have to worry about bills and instead can focus exclusively on Molly getting well and back to school where she is meant to be.  We are a little bit self-serving in our efforts, as having her back at Key as quickly as possible benefits all of us!

A gift of any amount is appreciated but please do not share this campaign on any social media sites.  This isn't a secret but it is a sensitive matter so it is best to keep it within our community.
