Just 14 months ago at the age of 31 Michelle was diagnosed with an advanced stage of Breast Cancer. She endured over 6 months of Chemotherapy and had a full masectomy. In September she was told that she was "Cancer Free" in remission. She returned to work in October and was glowing with joy. She was always eagar to return to continue touching the lives of many. The little toddlers and families that she worked with each day were greatful to have her back.
In early January Michelle was experiencing a lingering cough. She became concerned along with family and friends. The worst was just ahead of her...she underwent many tests and it was determined that she had Lung Cancer.
Her doctor referred her to Karmanos where the Oncology Team confirmed the Lung Cancer however that is not all. Michelle has a form of cancer called "Triple Negative". This cancer is within her blood stream her lungs and liver. She has stage four and it is incurable.
This is a difficult time for her and her family. We would like to do what we can to help and give family, friends and anyone else interested in donating an avenue to do so. We hope to raise enough money to allow her and her husband to stay focused on her treatment and their 2 boys.
Our hope is to take away as much stress and financial burden as possible so the whole family can remain positive through this very personal time.
Our Hands Reach Out To You
We want so much to help you
and to be there for you now,
to comfort you through all of this,
if only we knew how,
and though we know you have so much
to go through on your own,
our hands and hearts reach out to say
you'll never be alone.
