As many of you know, KG is battling Stage IV liver cancer after being diagnosed earlier this year.

He is currently undergoing treatment at UNC Rex, but the cancer, along with the pain, fatigue, and side effects of treatment, has made it impossible for him to work. As a result, he is carrying not only the physical and emotional burden of this diagnosis, but also the financial strain that comes with it.

If you know KG, you know his incredible heart, quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering willingness to help others without ever asking for anything in return. He is humble, stoic, and deeply private, which makes it difficult for him to accept help, even when he needs it most.

Originally from Senegal, KG came to the United States to pursue his dream of playing basketball. Through hard work, determination, and perseverance, he achieved that dream at the highest levels of the game, including helping the University of South Carolina reach its historic Final Four run in 2017. Since then, KG has shared his love of basketball with countless young people in his community, becoming known to many simply as "Coach KG."

Today, KG is bringing that same courage, resilience, grace, and grit to the fight of his life.

His friends, teammates, and community have created this fundraiser on his behalf so that he can focus on his health, treatment, and recovery rather than the stress of mounting expenses.
