Can you help keep us spinning?

My name is Kerry and sport has been my world since I was a young kid. I grew up with a love of cycling. It made me feel free, I felt invincible on a bike, escaping from everyday challenges and worries.

Since then I've spent many years as a personal trainer helping people become healthier, fitter and happier than they ever thought possible.

After selling the business I had run since 2007, the dream was to create a community for all ages and abilities to experience that freedom, escape and well being that cycling has brought to me.

2023 I built that dream and opened Team Cycle a dedicated indoor spinning cycling studio in Aberdeen. My aim is to inspire, motivate and provide fun in each and every workout and help a community of people improve their well being both physically and mentally.

I’ve invested everything I have into this dream – financially and emotionally along with some blood, sweat and many tears.

It's been built from the ground up with a lot of research and planning. We've renovated, designed, delivered, and we’re gradually growing our membership base.

Unfortuantely we’re not growing fast enough and if I can’t get some more money into the business to buy some time to continue growing, it’s very likely that funds will run out and there will be no other option but to close.

The impact of this is massive as I invested a huge amount of money and put final borrowings against my own property. If we have to close it is likely I would need to sell my house to repay investments made in the studio and equipment.

With the significant investment in the studio itself, the huge cost of building materials and the spin bikes, the costs have been higher than originally planned. Now there’s not enough left in the pot to give me the time to get things off the ground.

I’m working all I can, delivering my personal training and online programmes and even doing delivery driving to make ends meet and keep this dream alive. I really am exploring every possible opportunity.

Now there is so little time, I need to reach out and ask for help to keep the studio spinning.

The passion about what we’re creating, about helping others and seeing this community grow is 100% there and I believe it can work, I just need more time.

I love what I do and it fills me with joy to help others. Everyone deserves to be the best that they can be and to see people achieve this through fitness and sport makes me very happy.

Our ethos for Team Cycle is that ‘Together Everyone Achieves More’. And this is absolutely true in all areas of our lives. I will be devastated to lose it all after everything that's gone in.
