Taylor Russell College Fundraising

I am one out of five siblings and will be attending college in the fall. I am pursing a degree in psychology because I truly wish to help others. As an out-of-state college student, the cost of attendance is very high. I have applied to many scholarships during high school. However, my college was the one to award me an academic scholarship. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive any scholarships otherwise. I participated in many clubs and activities as an active member in the community over the course of my high school career. For example, I was a member of the National Honors Society, National Technical Honors Society, Crosby Scholars, Upward Bound, the cheer squad and more. I created a Step team at my school and acted at the community theater in my town. Completing my senior year with a 3.8 GPA, all while my mom had cancer was difficult. Although it may have been a difficult year we as a family were able to get through it and achieve our goals. However, now I have new goals and I am determined to attend university one way or another but additional support is greatly needed and appreciated. As 1 of 5 children it makes it difficult for my family to handle such an enormous debt. My tuition, room and board and fees are estimated at $56,000.00 per year and my scholarship is $19,500.00 per year. Needless to say this is why I decided to set up a Go Fund Me to assist with my dreams and goals to pursue an undergraduate degree.
