I'm Frances Bradley Vilier. I'm the Artistic Director of Tapology, a dance education organization in Flint, Michigan, that has been dedicated to promoting the science of dance, and art of rhythm - through performance, education and community outreach, for 20 years.
In spite of the detrimental economic, environmental, social and political injustices that the Flint community has faced, we have used the healing spirit - of Tap Dance, music, and education - to elevate our children, families and community in order to overcome extensive adversity. Tapology celebrates our common humanity through the rhythm of life. It allows us to see ourselves in a positive light, as one people in time, step and in unity.
Our programs, such as the Youth Summer Tap Intensive, Flintstone Movers, Sweet & Able Mentorship Program and our Annual Tap Festival, are all specially crafted. By blending the art of Tap Dance with life lessons that heighten one’s self-esteem and world self-image, we prepare our community to be change-agents in unifying humanity through the art of Tap Dance.
Tapology students grow and transform through art programs as one family. Former students now serve as instructors and leaders of our movement.
As we enter our 21st year of service, we are expanding our vision to create programming - nationally, and internationally - by forming partnerships and alliances with community and performing arts organizations and institutions, with a shared mission to preserve the history and art of Tap Dance.

On behalf of Tapology, I am asking that you please support our programming efforts by helping us raise $120,000.
We need funding to cover:
Tap shoes
Tap flooring
Studio spaces
Administrative, operational and development expenses.
