Tammy at Peace

This gofundme is on behalf of Charles (Chuck) Billington Jr.  in lieu of Tammy Billington's funeral costs and years of medical bills.  While vacationing in Florida in 2007, Tammy Billington had a severe brain aneurysm and underwent major brain surgery.  As many of you know, Tammy was a fighter.  She was able to defy the odds and live through the surgery and fight through rehab.  The next 9 years Tammy faced a daily battle with vertigo, severe migraines (due to brain trauma), and an iron deficiency referred to as hemochromatosis.  As time progressed Tammy was in and out of the hospital for multiple reasons, but the most serious was caused by hemochromatosis.  This disease eventually led to Cirrhosis of the liver and eventually liver failure.  This by no means was a slow process.  Tammy dealt with fluid build-up in her stomach for the last 7 years which would need to be drained on a monthly basis.  Our father, a self-employed appraiser was Tammy's caretaker.  Chuck  woke up with her nightly, took her to the doctor’s office, to the hospital during emergencies,  and always made sure she had healthcare coverage.  Over time, these costs wiped Chuck out of any savings, retirement, and left him with a massive pile of medical bills.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers or food, donations be made for Tammy's medical bills and funeral costs.  Chuck and the boys feels so much gratitude and love from the outpouring of support since Tammy's passing.
