Tammy Murphy's Cancer Battle

Hi, my name is Marci Nero and I am coming on here because my sister Tammy is very sick, She just got out of the hospital today and has a long road ahead of her, she went into the hospital Saturday a day before Easter. This all started about a month ago when her calf was hurting and she went to the doctors just to find out that she has a blood clot there so they put her on blood thinners, a week and half later she had a cat scan that showed very extra large lymph nodes and a blood clot in each lung. she is down to 98lbs because she cant eat without being in pain shortly after, she couldn't take the pain anymore so me and my other sister Joleen brought her to the hospital where she stayed until today, we are waiting for the biopsy results to come back but her doctor wants to put a mediport in her chest because we don't know what's coming. A few things about my sister is she has always been such a hard worker and was always working and giving everyone that came into contact with her a smile and love, she makes everyone laugh she recently bought her own house. She works at the Mocha house in Boardman, OH and she bought her house in Struthers. OH. I'm asking for help for her bills and the time she is losing because we don't know when she will be able to go back, I know everyone has allot on the plate so it's ok if you can't donate just please pray for her, I will keep you updated on everything once it is known to us.

Tammy would do anything for anyone so I hope everyone can do what they can to help her. She is just an amazing and strong woman and if you ever got a chance to know her consider yourself lucky because she is an Angel❤️

UPDATE: Tammy has a long week ahead of her, We are driving up Wednesday to have her port put in and waiting for The Hope Lodge to give us a call to hopefully stay up there until Monday because she has back to back appointments, Wednesday she will have her mediport put in then Thursday we see the heart doctor and Friday she will have her 4th chemo treatment which will stay intact till Sunday then Monday she has an appointment with the Hematologist and somewhere in between there she will see Dr. Shapiro her oncologist. Please everyone pray that everything goes according to plan. The last chemo treatment was rough on her and her weight but she is in high spirits and living each day to the fullest.  UPDATE: The Mocha House is having a spaghetti dinner for Tammy on July 21 starting at 5… You can buy tickets at the Mocha House in Boardman OH or at the door, There will be baskets to win and lots of laughs and the best part is we are helping Tammy. Tammy is on her 3rd round of chemo which is taking a toll but she is handling it like a Boss. We hope to see you all at the dinner if not Thank you for sticking with us she is blown away by all of the love and support. God Bless everyone and much love❤️❤️  

UPDATE: Tammy is receiving her first chemo treatment today it will run continuously until Saturday, she was in allot of pain yesterday and this morning until the doctor gave her meds thru her PICC line and it helped Thank the good Lord, Amanda one of her wonderful doctors said that her pain may be coming from the radiation she had, she said that most pain from radiation sometimes comes on stronger two weeks after. Hope everyone had a safe and fun Holiday just wanted to keep everyone in the loop and I cannot believe it's June 1 only ten days till Tammy's Birthday Have a great June and Thank you all for reading and asking how she is and for all the prayers, we will keep you updated.  UPDATE: Tammy is finally able to come home this afternoon after spending almost ten days in Cleveland clinic, she has had so many setbacks but Thank God she is so strong. We don't know when chemo will start she does have an upcoming appt with Dr Shapiro and his team but she just wants the comforts of being home this Holiday weekend. Just wanted to keep everyone on board with Tammy and we wanted to wish you all a very safe and Happy Memorial Day. We will keep you updated and please keep the prayers coming she still has a way to go but with your continued support and donations we know one day she will be sitting in the sand looking out into the ocean like she has been wanting.  UPDATE: Big update since we haven't posted in a week, first off I want to say that Tammy has been hit with everything but the sun these past few months... UPDATE: Tammy came to start chemo last Thursday only to find out that she was bleeding internally her hemoglobin was only at a 5 (it should be between a 12-13) she was admitted to Cleveland clinic and had surgery to stop the bleeding which was coming from the mass, they glued all the places it was bleeding and she wasn't allowed to eat for 2 days then on Saturday she had an ultrasound on her legs only to find the one that started her on this journey was still huge but was breaking up a little so they had to go in to do another surgery Saturday night to put a stent in her Vena cava which is the large vein in your chest so that if it does break off the mesh would catch it.. They were also concerned about the 2 blood clots on her heart which one of them is on her tricuspid which is the valve that allows the blood to flow into the heart so she is on heavy blood thinners and they also started radiation on Friday which they did for 5 days (today was her last one.. YAY).. So this takes us to today I have to tell you I have never seen anyone go thru what she has been thru over these last months and come out like she has, she still has to do chemo but we are not sure when as of yet.. She is truly such a beautiful, strong, passionate Queen, she is just so happy to be here to live another day so if your ever down read this again because she is still smiling that beautiful smile..  UPDATE: Please pray for Tammy today she has a long day and is getting her chemo today, I have pause off donations because her daughter Amanda will be taking over but it is all sorted now. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart who donated and who have been praying and have been with us since the beginning of this whole nightmare. God Bless ❤️❤️ 

 UPDATE.. May 16 Tammy will be starting her first round of chemo tomorrow May 17 and it will run continuously until May 19, The chemo will be twice a month where as we will go up and get it attached then go back up two days later to disconnect. She cannot get her mediport put in until the Cleveland heart doctor clears her for it in which we will see him when we go back up on Friday May 19 for the disconnect. We will be traveling four days a month to Cleveland and back home unless she needs other procedures along the way. We want to Thank you for all of the love, prayers and donations they have helped in this journey and Tammy is so grateful to everyone and is overwhelmed that so many people care for her. I am again asking if anyone can please share her story and I am asking if anyone can donate for her travels and loss of work it would be very appreciated and if you can't donate please pray for her and safe travels for us.  UPDATE: Tammy is still in St Elizabeth in Youngstown, OH, she under went a TEE esophageal procedure on Monday for her heart in which they found two vegetative growths, one on her aorta and one on her tricuspid valve so they did blood cultures too rule out infection in which they showed none so that was good news. We now can proceed with the mediport scheduled for May 17 in Cleveland. She should get out of the hospital tomorrow and will have the weekend to hopefully relax and enjoy Mother's day with her children and her beautiful grandson Brian.  UPDATE:5/ 7 Tammy was admitted last night to the hospital for pain and is undergoing a stress test today to make sure her heart is ok, her heart rate was really low last night and she is very dehydrated so they are giving her fluids and controlling her pain for now, please say an extra prayer for her, Thank you and much love❤️ 

 UPDATE: We went to Cleveland clinic yesterday and met Tammy's new oncologists Dr. Shapiro and Dr. Trunk. Dr Trunk said that Tammys mass is in the Gastrointestinal junction Adenocarcinoma which is at the bottom of her esophagus and stomach and it metastasized into the deep layers of the lymph nodes all around there. He said surgery is not an option because it's quite large and the lymph nodes are very bulky and the cancer is in very deep. They have to do a few more tests called PDL1 and HER2. Although there is no cure we still have hope and our faith in God that we can beat this. Tammy starts chemo next Tuesday May 9th in which they will attach it to her and it will be running in her till Thursday May 11 in which we will head back up there for them to detach it. Her chemo treatment is called Folfax. We will know more next week of how the treatments will go and how long of a period between each chemo session. We want to Thank everyone who has donated and ask that if you can share this to everyone so we can get her the money she needs to keep her going with her traveling needs and the bills that she has still coming in we would greatly appreciate it.  UPDATE: Just wanted to let everyone know we got the call we have been waiting for from Cleveland Clinic, We go on May 3 at 3:30, I want to say Thank you to the Angels who were going to give Tammy her sunrise and sunset at the beach in North Carolina, Your selfless invitation was so heart felt and special to Tammy and to all of us and I really wish we could go but we have to get this started ASAP, The Doctor up in Cleveland told us that he went thru all of her medical records and scans and biopsies and that the primary region of her cancer was still not clear so that was a shock considering we were told it started in her Esophagus and stomach which there is cancer there but we are still no closer to the primary region as of yet but Cleveland clinic will find it and we will go from there, Thank you to all of you who are donating and praying for her and hanging in with us, we have allot of traveling coming up so again I ask for prayers and I ask you to share this so we can hopefully get her money for all of the expenses, I'm not one to ask for donations but I will do anything to get my sister the care she deserves, God Bless you all and again Thank you all, we love you all❤️❤️ *

**UPDATE: Just wanted to Thank you all and let everyone know that Tammy is not having the mediport put in tomorrow due to us wanting to go to Cleveland clinic for the best care possible, We do have some good news as to one of the donaters wants to give Tammy her dream vacation to see and sit by the ocean and Thank you Michelle for contacting us to make that dream of hers come true, Tammy wants to Thank you all that are thinking of her and all of you who are still donating and the kind words and prayers, she is completely amazed at the love she has been receiving and loves you all, I will UPDATE again when we hear from Cleveland  

***UPDATE: The endoscopy was done this morning and the doctor said the Cancer is in her stomach as well as her esophagus and pancreas. There is no cure or remission but he is going to do a mediport on Tuesday of next week and start chemo just for palliative care. We are still trying to comprehend all of this tragic news but wanted to share so that if anyone wanted to see or talk to her they still could... PLEASE pray for a miracle because that is what we need.. We want to Thank everyone who is still donating and praying and ask you to pray even harder.. She sees all of the donations and love and she also cries because she has always been the one who gives to everyone even if it was just a smile or the cookies from her work that she would give out to all the children who came in... I will UPDATE again after the mediport is in place.. Thank you all and don't forget to hug and love one another because we never know if we will be here tomorrow.. Live for the moment and make great memories and always love and forgive.. Tammy wants one thing to go to the beach and sit and watch the sunrise and sunset, I'm hoping we can get her there with everyone's help... Thank you and God Bless you all We love you all❤️

 ***UPDATE: Tammy has been diagnosed with Metastatic Adenocarcinoma which is a type of cancer that develops in the glands that line your organs. She will now need to undergo multiple procedures to find the primary source of her cancer. She will have an endoscopy on Friday April 21 and we are praying for more answers as to where it is coming from, Please pray
