Road to KY Pony Club Champs 2017

Dear friends and family,
Tahquitz Pony Club Riding Center has five dedicated young members who have qualified to compete at the 2017 United States Pony Club Championships held every three years at the Kentucky Horse Park. Thanks to everyones help in 2014, our riders not only made it to kentucky, but returned National Champions! We are looking forward to another successful trip to Kentucky.

USPC is an internationally recognized nonprofit organization which develops character, leadership, confidence, and a sense of community in its member through a program teaching the care of horses and mounted equestrian sports. Pony Club’s unique educational programs place equal emphasis on the teaching of riding skills, horse-care fundamentals, team participation and sportsmanship.  The program promotes the health and safety of both horse and rider.  The USPC is dedicated to developing knowledgeable, competent, responsible, and caring equestrians.

Our local pony clubbers Elizabeth Way, Micayla Osborne, Lainey Hauser, Mya Chamberlain (returning 2014 champion), and  Kit Cunningham (returning 2014 champion, 2017 stable manager) have worked very hard  to qualify to compete at the Kentucky Horse Park this summer. It is a dream come true for these young equestrians and of course an expensive endeavor with their horses.  Part of their expenses for hauling and entries will be covered by the region, but each person must still pay for the rest of their horses expenses, air fare, food, lodging, equipment, and other costs to and from Kentucky.  To this end, we are asking for your help and requesting a donation. Our local team has an immediate goal to raise $5, 000. The kids are collecting items for a drawing and volunteering their services to help reach this goal by mid-July.

You can help by donating items for the drawing, buying tickets (golf passes to elite courses, spa treatments, restaurants certificates, hotels stays, and much more), purchasing work tickets for any job of your choice, or by making a go fund me donation. A list of  items for the drawing will be posted on the Tahquitz Pony Club Facebook page.
Thank you for supporting these equestrian ladies and their dream!
