You can make a difference by donating today to The Wellness Collaborative, Inc (TWC). We are a Boston-based nonprofit founded by three black women - an internist, a pediatrician and an applied psychologist. We offer innovative ways of providing health and wellness education and experiential events as a way to help reduce and ultimately eliminate health disparities within BIPOC communities.
In collaboration with the Roxbury International Film Festival (RIFF), we are launching our third annual film screening and panel discussion series on important health and wellness topics for BIPOC communities. Past films covered topics of substance use recovery, violence and disappearances, depression and suicide. This year we are offering films focused on Women's Health. The films serve as an anchoring point for discussing difficult topics, dispelling myths, providing health information, and offering culturally sensitive resources of care.
In addition to the film series, we offer Grief Circles, Health Fairs, and our signature Re-Imaging Health and Wellness Forums that provide panel discussions on various health topics. In all of our forums, we take an innovative approach to the core topic to offer new perspectives and solutions. The series is based on our core principles outlined in the 7 Disciplines of Wellness - Industry, Security, Education, Alimentation, Communication and Habitation.
But we need your help. We are fundraising to expand offerings, collaborate with neighborhood organizations, and also to bring Community Conversations from Cambridge across the river to be a visting program at our facility in Nubian Square, Roxbury.
Help us to make a difference.
Thank you!
