We’re a small team of filmmakers creating The Heart of the Beast, a 30-minute micro-budget TV pilot written and directed by Petrus Desbois.

This story is very close to us. It’s about love, loss, and holding onto someone when everything else is falling apart.

Synopsis:

The Heart of the Beast is a 30 minute micro-budget TV pilot that follows two sisters, Rose and Mathilda, whose quiet life is shattered when a monstrous force invades their home, leaving them alone in a world ruled by fear and shadow. Guided by a haunting legend that human hearts carry a fragment of an ancient divine flame, they set out on a perilous journey toward the fabled City of Light, a sanctuary said to protect the pure from the horrors that stalk the land. As they travel through a bleak and unforgiving wilderness, grief and desperation begin to test their bond, and the line between humanity and monstrosity grows dangerously thin. Dark, emotional, and mythic in tone, the story explores what it truly means to hold onto your humanity when survival may demand you let it go.
