Lost my only two boys. In memory of TT & BB

Hi, my name is Troy Forte and I'm the proud cat daddy of TT. TT is quite literally a dog in a cat's body. Loves attention, loves to snuggle, loves to give kisses, is loved by anyone he comes across and of course, loves to eat.
A few months back, TT began having breathing issues. After multiple trips to the vet with no luck in finding the cause, I finally made the trip to the ER. To my horror, the cause of his heavy breathing was by a cancerous mass in his throat. The mass has grown to the point that it started to block his airway. TT had to go through a temporary tracheostomy. Without thinking about it I agreed immediately to have laser surgery to debulk the mass. It was a success.
However, TT would start coughing every time food/water would be consumed. After calling the vets multiple times I was told to be patient and wait for the rechecks. After two heartwrenching weeks of watching TT barely eat due to excessive coughing, he was finally back to the vet for a second recheck. While his tracheostomy site had recovered, we discovered that the laser also opened the pipe to the trachea (airway that leads to the lungs) a bit more. What this means is every time TT eats/drinks, he immediately starts coughing because he's preventing whatever it may be from entering his lungs. Do you all remember the feeling of drinking water and it goes down the wrong pipe? Imagine that, for every time you consume anything. This is what caused TT's coughing.
A few days ago, I was told TT would never be able to eat on his own again. He had a feeding tube placed into his neck. Three to four times a day he must be fed manually with specific instructions. Having another cat that's diabetic, I am used to doing daily shots. I love my boy and I'm very willing to do this for the rest of his life!
I have a link to the medical bill as well. Some may notice that the bill is actually much higher than the fundraiser's amount. I'm fortunate enough to have insurance it covered a small chunk. 100% of this fundraiser is to help pay for those medical bills.
"Why?! Would you spend $16,000 on a cat?! What are you crazy?!" Please understand, to me, when you are an unmarried 42-year-old with no children of your own... these cats ARE your children. I consider TT my son.
Thank you SO SO SO MUCH for taking the time to read this and for your donation!
