Tuberous Sclerosis Fundraiser
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
I am holding a fundraiser on October 8th 2015 in honor of my cousin Christine Ritchie who has been struggling with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex for the past 21 years.
Christine is one of the most loving and caring people I know. She spreads joy and laughter everywhere she goes.
The Fundraiser is being held at The Spring Lake Manor in Spring Lake, NJ where all proceeds will go to the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance. The Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance is dedicated to finding a cure for tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) while improving the lives of those affected. TSC is a genetic disorder that causes non-malignant tumors to form in many different organs, primarily in the brain, eyes, heart, kidney, skin and lungs. The aspects of TSC that most strongly impact quality of life are generally associated with the brain: seizures, developmental delay, intellectual disability and autism.
Christine has endured countless medical procedures including surgeries, MRI’s, CAT scans, biopsies and blood tests during the 21 years of her life. Most recently she had a large tumor and part of her right kidney removed, and she now takes a chemotherapy medication in addition to her two seizure drugs and thyroid medication. Christine does all of this with a smile on her face.
Any donation is greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
With love,
Victoria
