My name is Jack and I am 16.  I was born premature.  Not really sure why.  My twin brother died before we could bring him home from the hospital.  I really miss him.  I had a bleed in my brain because I was so tiny.  I had to have a shunt.  This left me with seizures, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, and poor vision.  I can't see very well.  I can't walk very well.  I don't know how to do stuff like other kids my age.  My parents say that I am just how God made me...Awesome!  They say that I am a social butterfly.  I talk a lot and I love to be with everyone.  My parents go with me to special olympics and find fun stuff for me to do.  They help me make friends and be involved.  I have had a lot of surgeries.  Mostly brain surgeries, but I have had eye surgeries and leg surgeries too.  Sometimes I have to be in a wheelchair  becuase my legs are too weak to stand.  Last year I broke my foot walking becuase my muscles in my legs are so weak.  I recently had to have 3 brain surgeries becuase my shunt broke.  I spent 7 days in ICU.  Last month I spent a weekend in critical care.  I'm pretty sure that I have had more IV's than everyone in my whole high school!  It gets really expensive.   I don't qualify for SSI or disability because my parents work.    My aunt said that we should start a gofundme to payoff my medical bills.  My parents were not wild about the idea.  I reminded them that you steal someone's blessing if they want to help and you don't let them.  Thank you for helping and sharing.
